Mato Grosso acquires more units of Apache Vip`s fifth generation

2022-07-21 União Transportes e Turismo, the bus company responsible for part of public transport in the state of Mato Grosso, acquired six units of Apache Vip’s fifth generation. The models of the most famous urban bus in Brazil arrive to complement the company`s fleet, to guarantee more quality to the users of Mato Grosso`s public transportation.

Founded in the early 2000s and with more than 20 years of history, União Transportes e Turismo contributes, with its fleet units, to the bus lines in the city of Várzea Grande, in the Metropolitan Region of Vale do Cuiabá. Várzea Grande is just seven kilometers away from the capital Cuiabá, and it is the second most populous city in the state, only behind the capital, with an estimated population of more than 290,000 inhabitants in 2021.

The Apache Vip V of Várzea Grande

One of the Apache Vip V`s characteristics produced for União Transportes e Turismo is the presence of a door on the body left side, also known as a “floor level” door. It is designed on this side due to the particularity of the buses running on lines with platform or on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) modal.

The six units have an electromechanical turnstile and preparation for an electronic validator in the bodywork, to serve users who pay for tickets using the electronic ticketing model, in addition to providing greater agility in boarding process and disembarking passengers.

Several technological resources are also present in the models destined to the city of Várzea Grande. For example, the presence of a port blocker; three electronic itineraries (top front, bottom panel and right side); preparation for installing micro security cameras and GPS in the electric central; and the trackbus on the panel.
Thinking about the passengers thermal comfort and also in measures to ensure a safer journey for those using public transportation, all units are equipped with air conditioning and preparation for the air sterilizer future installation.

Accessibility for people with reduced mobility and PCD`s is ensured by the bus access elevator and by the exclusive space for wheelchair users and people accompanied by a guide dog. In addition, the interior seats are of PI-TE Injected model, in gray/graphite color, to provide a more comfortable journey for passengers.
